We got to go up in the flight tower. Maverick got a little freaked out walking up the steep stairs (they were the metal kind that you can see all the way down)...Tel was very disappointed that "his boy is afraid of heights". (I think it's an age think & that he is not doomed to being afraid of heights forever!)
They allowed us to get inside one of the helicopters so that we could see what it was like!
The kids were so EXCITED when they saw their daddy getting out of the helicopter.
One of my favorite parts was watching him walk across the airfield with several helicopters around him...it seemed like it was off of a movie! 
I took video of Tel flying but it was with our camcorder so I don't know how to put them on the computer yet, sorry. It was really cool to see in real life, especially autorotations!
That is awesome. Did it freak the kids out to see him walk up in the garb?
ReplyDeleteAre you alluding to the fact that the helmet makes my head look extremely small? If so, my kids are used to my abnormally small melon. If you are saying I look like a steally eyed killer, thank you.
